And wait until 2 hours after you've eaten to drink any more.
Most of us tend to be dehydrated, drinking extremely little water and excessive coffee, tea and caffeinated fizzy drinks. These all tend to dry us out, thanks to the diuretic characteristics of caffeine. If you wait to drink until you actually feel thirsty, you've waited too long: dehydration starts long before we are conscious of it.
